Merry Christmas

Here's some old Christmas photos I came across while going through photo albums at my mom and dad's for the last few weeks.

30 years ago I looked good.

Yes that's a Sit-n-Spin. Eff you cheesecakehor. Also I apparently got a shark which I have been saving for Hor-K-Seriously

I had a Fisher Price House and awesome bedhead in '73.

Here's one of me and my 2 older brothers. Apparently haircuts were optional in '73.

A macrame plant hanger. Good stuff.

For some reason I read "Sit-n-Spin" as "Spit-n-Sin." Which would make for a much more fun toy, now that I think of it.

ooh, i agree with karla. you're well overdue on creepy inventions.

@Danielle: Hey, without that magical cardboard fireplace, how would santa deliver all the toys? Eh.. didn't think of that one did you.

@Karla: Be thankful someone coined the term back in the 70s. Otherwise, Sit-n-Spin would only be available via sleeved magazines and late night infomercials.

Dan you gotta stop using my last name everytime you comment. I know that you believe that to actually be my first name so it's forgiveable.

Sarah - I know
Danielle - please come visit, sincerely, cardboard fireplace.
SLCUPS - yes we can make love in the fisher price house. what? oh, let me go reread your comment.
Russ - I bet you can do macrame
Karla - you're hot
I am not - you're a good mom.
Dan - you like boys
Sgt - the cardboard fireplace was definitely in response to my wondering how santa was going to get into our house. and also to hang stockings on.

Did the carboard fireplace have a fake cardboard log set with an orange light and a little aluminum fan on a needle that turned from the heat of the bulb and provided the "authentic flame effect?"

Because ours sure did.

Your Mom could totally be my Mom. She had the same ruffly nightgown. Awesome!

That's a pretty sweet ventless fireplace too.

Did they complete the ensemble with a cardboard commode? If so, please post some pics of that.
