if you can use Gmail from work, they have in-browser chat which (I believe) uses port 80 so wouldn't be subject to normal IM logging -- although it would probably still be logged by whatever web system you use, but since you post much about poop and vulvas on this here blog, presumably form work, you may not be worried about web sniffing. No pun intended.
