what's it called

seems like there should be a word for taking a number to the power of itself.

I don't think exponential is specific enough. Although I give you props in that exponential at least means where f(x)=b^x. It doesn't indicate that b=x which is what I want. I want the word that means f(x)=x^x in the same way that squared means f(x)=x*x.
